Week beginning 20 September:
Health & Social Care Services in Dumbarton
•At every level within our Health & Social Care Services; we pray for wisdom and insight on how to safely deliver support at this time
•We specifically give thanks for the many people who serve us locally: GPs, Hospital Staff, Community Nurses; Health Visitors; Physio’s; OT’s; Care Home and Care at Home Staff etc. May they and their loved ones be physically protected from all harm
•We remember with gratitude all who selflessly worked to provide vital care and support throughout lock-down. We give thanks for them and their dedication and ask that the progress made against the virus will not be in vain. May we all play our part in keeping everyone safe.
•We pray especially for those working to provide Mental Health Support – we consider the increase in pressure that these services are under and ask for heightened sensitivity and insight in providing help at this time.
•Social workers strive to protect the most vulnerable in our society – from the very young to the elderly and infirm. They are often faced with difficult decisions and, overwhelming responsibilities. We pray for courage and sensitivity in decision making and the ability to work positively with individuals and family members. We pray for the Lord to protect them in their work.
